What would you do as IT Application Manager

This position is responsible for managing confirmation matching & reconciliation application & projects for Private Bank. The incumbent is required to engage and work with various global and regional businesses, operations and internal / external technology partners to deliver against objectives. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for application management of Confirmation Matching & Reconciliation of banking, investments & treasury products for Citi Private Bank EMEA & Asia
• Collaborate with internal and external technology stakeholders to manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects using various SDLC methodologies
• Assist in creating business requirement documents and formulate technology solutions in response to business requirements
• Engage & manage external vendors for delivery & implementation of technology solutions
• Partner with global technology teams to ensure compliance of application to Citi engineering excellence standards (continuous integration, single click deployment etc)
• Act as application SME and provide functional support to business users
• Point of escalation to manage high impacting issues and provide communication to end users
• Work closely with Level 3 onshore and offshore resources to ensure escalated issues are resolved in a timely manner with documented RCA
• Provide regular management updates on ongoing projects & problem tickets

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology with 7+ years of experience
• Technical skills in Java and/or Oracle, Unix domains
• Prior experience in application implementation or support in production environment (banking domain)
• Excellent negotiation skills, ability to influence outcomes without direct managerial responsibility
• Fair knowledge of SWIFT, confirmation matching and reconciliation platforms would be a plus
• Proven project management skills would be an added advantage
